Competitive Staff Coach

Prince William Soccer, Inc.

The Prince William Courage Competitive Program seeks passionate coaches who are energetic and enthusiastic about teaching the beautiful game to add to the coaching staff. Coaches may be considered to lead teams in the ECNL-Regional League or NCSL. Coaches should have a growth mindset and be open to working with other staff as well as be able to work autonomously. Ideal coaches will be able to create an environment where players learn and enjoy soccer while being held to appropriate standards and goals for individual and team successes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
 

  • 2-3 training sessions per week from early August through the end of the season (June or July) - one session per week may be age group depending on level/ages of players
  • Roster management upon approval of director
  • Game day preparation, including all paperwork
  • Weekly training plans supporting the PW Courage methodology & curriculum
  • Seasonal evaluations for each player
  • Support player development through use of Veo (video) Review with teams
  • Attend coaching meetings & coaching education sessions


Potential Additional Duties (qualified applicants)

  • Assist with game day social media 
  • Support senior staff as an Assistant Coach


Desired Qualifications

  • Coaches interested in beginning a path to obtaining higher USSF level licensing are encouraged to apply
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively use Google Suite & team management software (Playmetrics)
  • Coaching and playing experience
